Louisiana uses ADAP funds to provide medication and insurance services through LA HAP.
ADAP stands for AIDS Drug Assistance Programs which is a funding source available through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) that can be used to provide access to medications for uninsured individuals and assistance with cost shares for insured individuals.
Anyone who meets ALL the criteria below can apply for LA HAP.

For INSURED members, LA HAP honors the primary inurance's formulary and pays the member's copayment and/or deductible. If the drug is not covered by the member's primary insurance, LA HAP cannot cover the prescription.
LA HAP cannot cover the cost, copayments, or deductibles for the following types of medication:
You can fill your prescriptions through any pharmacy in Louisiana in both your primary insurer's network and the SGRX network. To see a list of all pharmacies in the SGRX network approved to dispense prescriptions, use the Pharmacy Locator at the link below.
In order to process your medications (prescriptions) at a participating SGRX pharmacy, the pharmacy will need your LA HAP ID card, Medicare Part D Plan information and valid prescriptions.
